Preston Roper has developed innovative marketing and operational strategies for emerging and established companies, and has deep domain expertise in commercial renewable energy and information technology. Currently Vice President of Marketing at Cogenra Solar, Mr. Roper had previously served as Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Operations at Tioga Energy, a leading solar developer and provider of solar-as-a-service power purchase agreements (PPAs). At Tioga, Mr. Roper was instrumental in setting the company’s strategy, launching its direct and channel marketing and managing its day-to-day operations.
Prior to that, Preston acted as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Bitpass (acquired by Digital River). In total, Mr. Roper has two decades of experience leading innovative marketing and operations teams at high-growth information and communications technology companies, including Honeywell, NetDynamics (acquired by Sun Microsystems in 1998) and Synopsys (which issued an IPO in 1992).
Mr. Roper holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, a Master of Science in Hardware-Software Co-Design and a Masters in Business Administration from Stanford University.
