SALT LAKE CITY, May 5 /AltaTerraResearch/ -- With companies talking about energy and the environment, biofuels and other vehicle power technologies are increasingly attractive as corporate transportation solutions, according to new research conducted by AltaTerra Ltd.
"Companies are looking intensively at transportation to lower energy costs and improve their environmental responsibility," said Jon Guice, AltaTerra's head of research. "According to our research, only some biofuels are environmentally sustainable but there are several good options for companies to keep improving their green profile."
AltaTerra, a specialist research and advisory firm , just completed a comprehensive, comparative analysis of commercially-available biofuels and competing technologies. The research, the first and most authoritative study of its type, integrates proprietary data and new environmental impact models. The full research report is expected to be released for sale in early June.
"We're getting interest not only from fleet managers, but also 'green team leaders' and other executives interested in commuter programs and other business transport," Dr. Guice commented.
The research announcement was timed to coincide with "green" events at NAFA's 2008 Institute & Expo in Salt Lake City. NAFA Fleet Management Association is a not-for-profit membership professional society primarily representing fleet managers in the United States and Canada.
